Marketing/Sales Interns - Spring 2014

Looking for real-world sales and marketing experience?

Quinnipiac Student Media (QSM) is looking for motivated students to join its rapidly growing sales and marketing department, QSM Business. With an estimated $32 million in buying power, advertisers are eager to get the attention of the QU population; and that’s where we come in.

What is QSM?

QSM is comprised of the student media organizations within the Quinnipiac University community: The Chronicle, WQAQ radio, Q30 television, Quinnipiac Bobcats Sports Network, and The Summit Yearbook. QU students read, listen to and watch these media outlets on a daily basis, which opens up the opportunity to integrate advertising from businesses with content created by the media students.

What to expect!

QSM Business interns plan advertising campaigns for local and national businesses to be placed within our QSM media outlets. Businesses will pay to get their word out, and your job is to be the expert on (and creator of) their solutions.

As a QSM Business intern, you are on the frontline of the marketing team, and your contributions in the field help develop long-term strategies and internal functions in real-time.

Every day presents a new experience for QSM interns; no client is the same, negotiations are never cut-and-dry, and each of you has a different approach on how best to capture the attention of students. With the freedom and creativity this position thrives on, there is vast opportunity for you to make an impact.
